Fastest Way to Get Someone Out of Jail in Austin
If someone you care about has been arrested in Austin or Travis County, the first thing most families want to know is how to get them out of jail as quickly as possible.
My name is Jessica Zak, and I’ve been helping families navigate the bail bond process since 2000. One of the most common questions we hear is how long the process takes and what can be done to speed things up.
The fastest way to get someone released from the Travis County Jail is to begin the bail process as soon as bail has been set.
Because our Bulldog Bail Bonds office is located in downtown Austin at 600 W. 13th St., Suite A, just minutes from the Travis County Jail, we are able to begin the bond process quickly once bail has been assigned.
In many cases, the process can begin with a simple phone call where we gather a few basic details about the person who has been arrested.
Information That Helps Speed Up the Process
If you call our office, it helps to have:
• Full name of the person arrested
• Date of birth (if available)
• The jail they were taken to
• The charge (if known)
Once this information is confirmed and bail has been set, the bond paperwork can begin.
Travis County Jail Release Timeline
Release times can vary depending on several factors including:
• how busy the jail is
• when the bond is posted
• how long booking takes
In many cases, release occurs several hours after the bond has been submitted. Release typically takes 2-6 hours from the time you post the bond at the bonding office. Del Valle requires that an inmate being released has a ride to pick them up if they get released after 10:00 p.m., otherwise the individual is released the day after.
Because we work with the Travis County system every day, our goal is always to help families start the process as quickly as possible.
